The Loretto
A Mr. Loft favourite, this Toronto Loft is located in the Annex, just a short stroll to the University of Toronto, the Bata Shoe Museum, the Royal Ontario Museum and much more. Originally the Loretto Abbey Day School designed in the Beaux-Arts style by architect Neil G. Beggs in 1914, this heritage building at 385 Brunswick Avenue was converted into residential Loretto lofts in 2007. Its low-rise stature at just five storeys makes this building feel intimate yet it contains 50 units, complete with 13 townhomes. The interiors are contemporary and elegant - this loft is all class. We also love the landscaped interior courtyard. But the best bit? Underground parking - a true rarity in hard loft conversions. There's also a gym and party room which, again, are not always easy to find in a historic conversion. The Loretto is next door to another stellar Toronto loft building - the School House Lofts. You can read about these two buildings and our other favourite Midtown lofts on our blog.
